• Plan and develop multimedia learning courses for Niagara’s learning management system • Meet project deadlines using the department’s development calendar • Report project progress according to department project management protocol • Troubleshoot multimedia content developed by less technical Training and Development team members • Develop video and audio components for learning assets • Edit image, audio, and video media for instructional use • Administer and maintain departmental media repositories • Identify multimedia technology opportunities for web- and classroom-based instruction • Assist with curriculum design for instructor-led, online, and alternative learning activities • Develop and write traditional and e-learning training content and materials • Maintain knowledge of Niagara’s LMS features, limitations, and course requirements • Train staff on multimedia technology techniques and best practices • Design learning solutions for manufacturing employees • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy • Evaluate training program results and modify future programs • Develop and deliver training materials on company processes, products, and technologies • Ensure generated documents are accurate and meet formatting standards • Travel to Niagara facilities to collaborate with curriculum designers, trainers, internal customers, and subject matter experts • Travel as needed to Niagara vendors or customers • Manage web content and portals through SharePoint • Write newsletters, articles, and other periodic materials • Supervise select Super User-level contributors in Niagara business processes • Provide leadership to adjacent work teams when their manager is unavailable • Influence individuals throughout the organization without direct authority
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the field or a similar manufacturing environment • Minimum 2 years of experience in the position • Minimum 2 years of experience managing people/projects • Experience may include a combination of work experience and education • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related fields, or equivalent experience • Proficiency in adult learning methods and pedagogy • Proficiency in Articulate 360 Suite, Vyond, and Camtasia • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, and Microsoft SharePoint • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (CS6), specifically InDesign, Flash Professional, Captivate, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, and Acrobat; comparable software accepted • Knowledge of creating and maintaining wikis • Proficiency manipulating and synchronizing audio files for e-learning • Experience with and willingness to perform voice-over work • Ability to interpret multimedia design needs and develop creative, responsive design concepts • Knowledge of instructional design concepts and LMS functionality for deploying e-learning courses • Ability to communicate how to perform complex technical tasks • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Proven record of taking initiative • Ability to work with moderate supervision • Detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to work in a dynamic, changing environment • Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce • Ability to think creatively and brainstorm new ideas • Ability to travel to facilities, vendors, and customers as needed
