📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data engineers • Provide technical guidance and oversight on complex data engineering projects and initiatives • Conduct technical demos and share research findings • Create, manage, optimize, and monitor data pipelines • Transform and cleanse data from source systems while ensuring data integrity and accessibility • Oversee the design, build, and maintenance of scalable data architectures • Identify, design, and implement process improvements • Automate manual processes and optimize data delivery • Champion data engineering best practices and modern technologies • Prioritize, plan, and oversee data engineering projects • Maintain a project catalog and track progress toward milestones and deliverables • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions meeting business requirements • Analyze, troubleshoot, and enhance existing data integration processes • Perform complex data analyses to diagnose and remediate data quality issues

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field • At least 2 years in a leadership role • Proven track record of building, managing, and mentoring technical teams • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing data-driven solutions • Advanced certifications in data management (CDMP, CBIP, DAMA, DGSP) are a plus • Experience using REST APIs, SFTP, file manipulation, JSON, and XML • Expertise in Python, SQL, and data transformation tools such as dbt • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data architecture principles • Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure • Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery • Demonstrated experience with Git repositories for code versioning and collaboration
