📋 Description

• Troubleshoot and repair commercial and industrial floor cleaning equipment in the branch shop or at customer sites • Complete required service-work reports, timesheets, and other reports established by the Branch Supervisor • Maintain all required training and certifications in an up-to-date and timely manner • Maintain specified spare-parts stock levels in the service van • Assess and respond to equipment-failure situations using standard procedures • Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems through field service management software

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; 5 years relevant experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • 3 years prior experience in a similar or related field • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Strong organizational and communication skills • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision • Demonstrated product knowledge, preferably obtained through hands-on experience • Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills • Understanding of internal combustion engines • Ability to read, understand, and follow electrical and hydraulic schematics • Ability to use basic electrical testing/diagnostic equipment • Thorough understanding of AC and DC electrical theory • Valid Driver's License • DOT Certification • Proficiency with MS Office and business applications • Ability to read, write, and speak English • Ability to interpret safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence • Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations • Ability to apply commonsense understanding and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 100 pounds • Ability to work around electrical shock risks, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals
