📋 Description

• Provide project management support and subject matter expertise for the Tribal Implementation Center and related public health initiatives • Advance data modernization, data sovereignty, and capacity for Tribes, Tribal Consortia, and Tribal Epidemiology Centers • Work with NNPHI leadership, the Data Modernization team, public health institutes, funders, and Tribal partners • Support program design, project management, Tribal engagement, technical assistance, and peer-to-peer learning opportunities • Serve as a program manager for Tribal Health Data Modernization projects involving workforce development, capacity building, systems change, and data sovereignty • Lead Tribal Implementation Center Community Support work, including Tribal engagement and peer-to-peer Tribal Data Modernization learning opportunities • Develop and execute project work plans and portfolio strategy • Maintain and develop relationships with federal agencies, private foundations, and other funding agencies • Contribute to organizational policies and procedures and support implementation with senior leadership • Author project reports for funders and interest-holders • Plan and implement sessions for conferences, trainings, and in-person events • Plan and host webinars • Serve as a technical resource to NNPHI member interest groups • Represent NNPHI in national partner workgroups, meetings, and conferences • Identify innovative practices and apply them to advance NNPHI member work • Provide technical assistance to public health institutes and other stakeholders and partners • Produce and refine logic models and action plans • Author and edit external publications and reports on Tribal Health Data Modernization • Contribute to proposals, project renewal funding, and development of new projects • Advise Program Associates, Program Managers, CDC fellows, and interns as needed • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Public Health or other related degree, or commensurate professional experience • Minimum 5+ years relevant experience in or with Tribal and Indigenous organizations • Demonstrated program management experience with diverse funders and multiple contractors • Deep knowledge of Tribal history, treaties, Federal Indian law, sovereignty, self-governance, and decolonization principles and practices • Deep respect for and understanding of Tribal and Indigenous culture, customs and traditions, and experience connecting these with intentional system changes to support health and wellbeing • Stellar communication skills, including strong editing and writing skills • Confident public speaker, in person and via phone/webinar • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively on a team and with diverse partners • Experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and flexibility to maneuver effectively amid uncertainty and transition • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills • Experience managing RFP or other contracting processes • Experience serving as a liaison to federal funding agencies and private foundations • Excellent analytic skills and familiarity with interpreting federal and state regulations • Success mentoring and supervising staff and contractors • Experience with Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), project management software, and Salesforce required
