📋 Description

• Architect, develop, test, and distribute changes to software, services, and tools enabling team-delivered hardware platforms • Design and implement observability infrastructure enhancements to identify and correct problems before customer impact • Develop subject matter expertise in team components and mentor the team • Identify and implement automation best practices for existing products and processes • Collaborate with support, operations, and engineering teams to investigate and troubleshoot complex problems • Participate in on-call rotations and guide restoration and repair of service-impacting issues • Work on Akamai Cloud hypervisor host technologies, including bare-metal and VM hardware and software infrastructure platforms • Work with Compute Linux kernels, operating systems, KVM/QEMU virtualization layer, guest images, and hardware teams on new datacenter hardware programs

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience • Bachelor's diploma in Computer Science or its equivalent • Advanced experience in Linux internals, system administration, and enabling advanced hardware features in Linux • Advanced experience with the Linux kernel, operating systems, KVM/QEMU, and nested virtualization • Expert experience designing, developing, and deploying software and infrastructure at scale • Advanced engineering experience with large-scale distributed systems • Experience with SaltStack, Ansible, Kubernetes, Chef, or Puppet for managing infrastructure at scale • Experience with ARM architectures such as NVIDIA Grace
