📋 Description

• Develop, test, and distribute changes to automation, software, services, and tools owned by the HIVE team • Design and implement enhancements to HIVE observability infrastructure • Identify and correct problems before they impact customers • Work in new tooling, code, and environments and automate what is possible • Create supporting tooling using Ansible or profiling to aid performance investigations • Develop subject matter expertise across components of the Compute environment • Collaborate with support, operations, and engineering teams to investigate and troubleshoot complex problems • Identify performance bottlenecks and create supporting tooling for investigations • Collaborate with kernel and hardware teams to qualify newer kernels and operating systems on new server builds

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience • Bachelor's diploma in Computer Science or its equivalent • Advanced experience in Linux internals, system administration, and underlying hardware • Knowledge of best practices for enabling advanced hardware features in Linux • Advanced experience with the Linux kernel, OS, KVM/QEMU, and nested virtualization • Expert experience designing, developing, and deploying software and infrastructure at scale • Advanced engineering experience with large-scale distributed systems • Experience with SaltStack, Ansible, Kubernetes, Chef, or Puppet for managing infrastructure at scale
