📋 Description

• Contribute to the design and implementation of highly available, scalable, and performant solutions in C, C++, Go, or Java • Build, integrate, support, and improve data streaming services on Akamai Platform • Develop highly concurrent systems while optimizing CPU, memory, and I/O usage for low-latency and high-throughput solutions • Design full-stack software from front-end UI/APIs to backend infrastructure for seamless data delivery • Work on projects focused on system security, scalability, and performance • Troubleshoot complex distributed network problems with multi-tier engineering support teams • Provide technical guidance and code reviews for junior engineers • Enhance platform core services and optimize data handling in FedRAMP Moderate and FedRAMP High environments • Enable efficient data collection, processing, telemetry, delivery, and visualization

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years of relevant experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another related field • 5 years of experience with distributed systems, Linux networking, TCP/IP, SSH, SSL, and HTTP protocols • Solid proficiency in one or more of: Java/TypeScript, Go, C, and C++ • Experience in at least one scripting language: Python, Perl, or Shell • Solid understanding of multithreading, concurrency primitives, and synchronization mechanisms • Excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills • Citizenship is not required • Security clearance is not required
