📋 Description

• Review and interpret payment terms from Federal, state, local government, and industry sponsors to ensure invoice compliance • Serve as the primary administrative contact for faculty and researchers regarding financial aspects of outgoing subawards • Facilitate communications with subrecipients • Conduct subrecipient monitoring in accordance with Federal regulations • Liaise with Procurement, Accounts Payable, Finance, and other Northeastern stakeholders • Assist faculty, researchers, and administrators with financial aspects and regulatory monitoring of subawards • Provide operational support, including data management and reporting • Process and track incoming subcontract invoices through the Research Invoice Inbox • Obtain payment approval from Northeastern faculty, administrators, and subrecipients • Update and maintain relevant information in databases • Contact subcontract sites regarding issues and inquiries • Prepare and submit FFATA subaward reports • Collaborate annually with Research Finance to ensure compliance with Uniform Guidance requirements • Support NU-RES team members and interface with KRI, Research Finance, Accounts Payable, Office of General Counsel, Procurement, and Research Compliance • Create processes, procedures, and best practices for subaward invoice management and intake • Identify and implement process changes that reduce risk and increase automation • Develop tools and relevant resources for NU Research Enterprise Services • Support management with ad hoc assignments

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple projects, routine interruptions, and changing priorities • Exceptional written and oral communication skills • Ability to facilitate group activities • Ability to work with individuals with varying sophistication and information needs • Demonstrated critical thinking skills to proactively solve or mitigate problems • Ability to anticipate issues, identify solutions, and communicate appropriately with impacted parties • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Solid judgment and discretion to resolve ambiguity and promote effective solutions • Strong commitment to a customer service environment • Ability to navigate multiple systems and platforms efficiently • Bachelor’s degree required • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in research administration in an academic, industry, Federal contracting, non-profit, or similar setting required • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint preferred
