📋 Description

• Oversee accounting activities related to product revenue, gross-to-net reserves, accounts receivable, inventory, cost of goods sold, and other commercial accounting processes • Partner with Trade & Distribution, Market Access, CMC, and third-party partners to ensure accurate financial reporting and support commercialization efforts • Manage monthly close activities for product revenue, gross-to-net reserves, accounts receivable, inventory, and cost of goods sold • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and revenue-related documentation • Ensure revenue recognition complies with ASC 606 • Oversee inventory valuation, reserves, reconciliations, transactions, movements, adjustments, write-offs, returns, and physical inventory count support • Prepare gross-to-net reserve calculations and perform actual-to-estimate analyses • Oversee third-party order-to-cash activities, including sales, invoicing, collections, cash applications, deductions, and dispute resolution • Serve as accounting liaison with 3PLs, distributors, and commercial partners • Support customer credit risk evaluation, commercialization initiatives, product launches, distribution channels, and customer programs • Prepare financial reporting schedules and analyses; assist with external audits and regulatory reporting • Maintain revenue accounting policies, procedures, and documentation • Support SOX compliance, control execution, documentation, and remediation • Identify process improvement, automation, reporting, and data analytics opportunities • Participate in ERP implementation, system enhancements, and integration projects • Manage, mentor, and develop team members

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including commercial accounting experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry • Strong understanding of US GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition, gross-to-net, inventory, and cost of goods sold accounting • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical order-to-cash processes, including accounts receivable, deductions, and customer reconciliations • Experience supporting inventory accounting in a commercial-stage biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences company • Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), wholesalers, and other commercial service providers • Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting • Experience with NetSuite or other large ERP systems • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Up to 10% travel, frequently outside the local area and overnight • CPA preferred • Public accounting experience and/or publicly traded company experience preferred • Experience supporting SOX compliance and internal controls preferred • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on scalability, automation, and operational excellence
