• Navigate and resolve challenges within accounts with tailored solutions • Build strategic territory plans aligned with shared priorities to drive product demand and improve patient outcomes • Partner with territory teammates, field teams, and home-office colleagues to address customer needs and deliver access support • Analyze market, competitive, and cross-functional dynamics to anticipate opportunities and respond to challenges • Use territory data and market trends to uncover local insights and lead customer engagements virtually or in person • Facilitate planning sessions with stakeholders to solve complex challenges across functions • Deliver real-time access support and collaborate with Patient Specialty Services • Use digital tools and omni-channel strategies to personalize outreach across virtual and face-to-face settings • Act as primary point of contact for accounts and healthcare providers • Build account relationships, identify shared priorities, and connect customers with Novartis resources
• Bachelor’s degree required from a 4-year college or university • Experience within the last 5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large geographically dispersed sales teams, or comparable complex sales environments • Proven track record of consistent high performance • Experience navigating and selling to large accounts and key customers • Analytical ability to prioritize and apply information to solve customer problems • Ethical leadership and ability to promote ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and laws • Must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border • Ability to travel 60–80% over a broad geography • Ability to drive and/or fly within the territory • Fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license required • For Territory Account Specialist level: 2+ years of relevant experience within the last 5 years • For Senior Territory Account Specialist level: 5+ years of relevant experience within the last 5 years • For Executive Territory Account Specialist level: 10+ years of relevant experience within the last 5 years • Associate level applicants may have limited prior sales experience or qualifying military leadership experience • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a matrix environment • Ability to communicate clinical product information effectively • Desirable: experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches • Desirable: understanding of patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and medical calling on HCPs • Company will not sponsor visas for this position • Customer-facing employees must comply with applicable customer credentialing guidelines
