• Achieve sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies to sell and promote Novo Nordisk’s cardiometabolic product portfolio to healthcare professionals and office staff through remote/virtual means • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, pharmacists, nurses, paramedical customers, and co-promotion partners • Follow virtual call scripts, call continuum decision trees, outbound call targets, and customer follow-up schedules • Record call notes, products discussed, issues addressed, sales aids used, samples distributed, and other information for future sales effectiveness • Follow up on inbound leads and develop leads and referrals • Use territory market knowledge, competitive trends, priorities, and patient needs to develop and execute territory business plans • Build and maintain business-relevant virtual relationships with prescribers and support staff and collaborate on clinical patient management using approved solutions • Collaborate across internal functions and proactively share knowledge and business opportunities • Research stakeholders and account business practices and tailor account plans • Implement Novo Nordisk’s selling model with external customers and at company-sponsored meetings • Communicate and coordinate with territory sales teams and internal stakeholders to implement plans and define responsibilities • Apply disease-state, treatment-option, Novo Nordisk product, competitor-product, and clinical-study knowledge in customer engagements • Participate in sales and marketing meetings, training programs, conventions, and displays
• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree, and/or PharmD required • Previous experience in retail, non-retail/inside sales, or customer service preferred • Intermediate computer skills, including Windows, Word, and Excel • Prior sales data/call reporting software experience ideal • Ability to work independently, self-start, and exercise sound business judgment and discretion • Excellent customer service skills • Excellent oral communication skills • Solid understanding of diabetes and obesity disease states and Novo Nordisk products • Aptitude for learning and ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease-management information • Ability to establish rapport, build relationships, and close sales • 0–10% overnight travel required
