📋 Description

• Process claims, manage accounts receivable, and maintain documentation in compliance with payer guidelines and OCHIN systems • Investigate and resolve claim denials, identify trends, and contribute to process improvements that enhance reimbursement outcomes • Communicate with team members and stakeholders to clarify billing requirements • Track deadlines and plan billing activities for timely and efficient task completion • Apply knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system and OCHIN solutions to billing operations • Provide revenue cycle and account management services to OBS member clients, primarily supporting Acute Care • Manage self-pay accounts and customer inquiries or handle daily claims production, including printing, mailing, and preparing clean-claim documentation • Provide billing and customer service support to OBS member clinics and their patients • Travel nationally for on-site Go Live support based on business requirements • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Rural hospital experience required for Acute Care hospital work • Epic experience highly preferred • Provider-based, inpatient, surgery, or emergency room billing experience highly preferred • Critical Access Hospital Billing experience highly preferred • Experience in billing and/or coding revenue cycle experience preferred • Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, MVA, Workers Comp, and private insurance billing and reimbursement processes preferred • Knowledge of legal requirements preferred • FQHC/RHC experience and knowledge preferred • Medical Billing Certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) preferred • Completion of a 50–60-minute competency assessment required before the team interview • Ability to work independently and efficiently from a home office environment • High-speed internet service • Ability to work in a distraction-free workplace • Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English • Ability to work on camera for all virtual meetings • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required as a condition of employment
