• Lead and supervise the department's daily operations in collaboration with the department Manager • Plan and organize staffing and specific departmental operations • Oversee initiatives to improve processes and maximize efficiency • Serve internal and external customers and maintain high employee morale • Supervise and lead the assigned team according to company values and expectations • Manage daily department operations • Implement and monitor quality control measures • Develop the workforce • Monitor and document performance metrics • Supervise employee relations and individual employee performance matters • Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements • Report known or suspected unethical, questionable, safety, privacy, or compliance-related concerns
• High School diploma or equivalent required • Bachelor's degree preferred • Required: 9 years relevant experience, including 3 years of experience in hospital, clinic, business services/revenue cycle, front line registration, financial counseling, and/or direct healthcare environment experience OR 4 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree • Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval • Proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboard • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet project deadlines, set priorities, and work with minimal supervision • Excellent decision-making and delegating skills • Ability to foster teamwork, professionalism, customer satisfaction, high performance, and mutual respect • Ability to work extended hours, including nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations where applicable
