📋 Description

• Transcribe highly technical physician dictation into final medical reports for patient charts • Apply medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and English rules to transcription and proofreading • Meet quality, productivity, and turnaround-time standards • Format reports according to established guidelines • Operate the transcription station and dictation management system • Edit medical content, style, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting for accuracy • Identify and resolve verbal inconsistencies and dictation errors by querying physicians or other experts • Perform additional duties such as filing, answering phones, scheduling appointments, ordering supplies, sorting mail/faxes, and distributing materials

🎯 Requirements

• High School or GED (Required) • Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology • Ability to operate word processing and dictation equipment • Typing speed of 65 wpm • Previous medical transcription experience • Ability to transcribe dictation from various accents, dialects, and dictation styles • Ability to meet quality, productivity, and turnaround-time standards
