📋 Description

• Manually curate high-value datasets within onX's web-based GIS editing platforms • Process spatial data within established processing pipelines • Conduct quality control checks on spatial data for accuracy and completeness • Communicate with team leads to address issues • Analyze existing processes and suggest improvements • Support ad hoc data acquisition, curation, and processing needs • Integrate and refine AI as a repeatable co-pilot in daily workflows, using experimentation, sound judgment, and validation • Support onX Fish by acquiring, curating, and processing data including water access sites, fish species information, and other fishing-related content • Report to a manager within the Geospatial Data Operations team

🎯 Requirements

• Certificate, Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Analysis or closely related field • Experience with desktop geospatial software such as QGIS or ArcMap • Ability to follow instructions as provided in process documentation • Detail-oriented, highly organized self-starter • Patience for repetitive tasks • Ability to maintain a positive, helpful, constructive attitude • Ability to establish and maintain efficient working relationships with other onX employees • Desire to contribute to a strong team dynamic • Candidates must reside in a state where onX is currently able to employ team members • Preferred candidates live near an onX office or within a Basecamp • Bonus: Experience working with bathymetry, fisheries research, and/or points of interest (POI) data • Bonus: Experience with water and fishing related projects in GIS platforms
