📋 Description

• Develop a territory-specific business/account plan with strategies and tactics to increase disease-state awareness, implement diagnostic approaches, identify and pursue business opportunities, and meet sales goals • Collaborate with the Area Business Lead, Rare Disease, and cross-functional colleagues in account management, medical, market access, patient support, marketing, medical affairs, and thought-leader liaison functions • Serve as the main point of contact for healthcare provider customers and accounts • Develop in-depth knowledge of current and future competition and execute sales strategies to compete effectively • Build and maintain proficiency in relevant disease states, patient and clinic experience, market landscape, and product knowledge • Use available tools, technology, and resources to analyze markets and identify trends and opportunities • Sponsor and display at relevant congresses and society meetings • Educate office staff on payer guidelines and reimbursement procedures to increase pull-through • Utilize promotional materials and internal support resources appropriately • Overcome objections and influence prescribing habits during total-office calls • Identify territory professional groups and network for access to potential key opinion leaders • Build relationships with office and practice personnel and provide accurate information responding to account needs • Deliver balanced office calls and sales presentations to help HCPs enhance patient outcomes • Facilitate clinical dialogue, identify account obstacles, and provide appropriate solutions • Develop and position Otsuka as a leader with key nephrology stakeholders and specialty customers

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required • MBA or other related graduate degree preferred • 3 years or more of sales experience in rare disease, immunology, renal, oncology, and/or hospital account management strongly preferred • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding financial and/or other quantitative targets and qualitative goals in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment • Ability to interpret, analyze, and leverage data to identify trends, gain insights, drive pull-through, and lead live customer engagements • Ability to create customer/account engagement plans • Knowledge of marketplace, applicable competitors, industry, and matrix functional activities/plans • Understanding of regulatory standards and ability to execute business activities in compliance with company policies and guidance • Expertise with longer selling cycles and complex patient journeys across a portfolio of products • Ability to navigate academic institutions, IDNs, community practices, and local patient advocacy groups • Ability to use promotional materials and technical references, including studies and package inserts • Competent product knowledge of own products and competition • Commitment to ethical business practices • Candidate must display intellectual curiosity, business acumen, perseverance, relationship mastery, collaboration, and passion for the patient
