📋 Description

• Function as the overall Site Manager during the Site Manager’s off rotation • Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval • Assist with project schedule development and management • Prepare estimates for self-performed work and assist with complete project estimates • Function as Site Manager for small projects under $5 million when applicable • Manage multiple divisions of work and construction means and methods • Solicit subcontractor, vendor, and supplier prices; assist with bidder selection, price negotiation, subcontracts, and purchase orders • Prepare cost-to-complete, monthly billing, status, and progress-tracking reports • Review and maintain current architectural, structural, shop, and other drawings • Study specifications and plan construction procedures, schedules, staffing, materials, equipment, and tools • Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up through completion • Schedule subcontractor work and secure supply sources • Set up and close out construction sites • Establish and enforce safety and quality standards • Serve as on-site safety lead when no safety representative is assigned; stop work, discipline team members, and remove team members/subcontractors when necessary • Make on-the-spot safety and quality decisions and resolve issues while considering financial impact • Procure tools and materials for scheduled delivery • Direct supervisors and subcontractors in construction planning and execution • Resolve workforce complaints and grievances • Review progress, material usage, and cost reports and adjust schedules • Provide expert advice for assigned divisions of work • Meet with customers and refer requested changes to the Site Manager and Project Manager • Work with city officials, OSHA, and inspectors • Ensure required inspections and documentation are completed • Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray’s on-site safety program • Manage subordinate team members, including training, work assignment, performance management, discipline, complaint handling, and problem resolution • Indirectly manage subcontractors, consultants, and general laborers

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and a minimum of three years of construction experience, or a minimum of five years related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree • Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector highly desired, specifically within the food and beverage market • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents • Strong people management skills • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, tablets, and smartphones • MS Project and other scheduling software a plus • Strong work ethic; energetic, self-motivated, team-oriented, collaborative, and committed to professional development • Ability to think independently and manage without direction • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites throughout the United States and, in some cases, outside the U.S. • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs • Ability to work in wet/humid conditions, around moving mechanical parts, outdoors, at heights, around fumes/airborne particles, extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, explosives, vibration, and moderate to loud noise • Overtime may be required
