• Develop and deliver a 12–36 month global category strategy covering flexible, rigid, corrugated, labels, and tertiary packaging • Deliver 4–5% cost savings through innovation, supply chain resilience, supplier relationships, and commodity volatility management • Work with Marketing and R&D to optimize specifications, cost leverage, operational efficiency, and sustainability outcomes • Structure and enforce transparent, index-linked agreements separating material inputs from conversion costs • Lead advanced total cost modeling incorporating yield, throughput, transportation efficiency, and disposal impacts • Track raw material trends including pulp, films, resins, and inks to secure advantageous forward positions • Expand and diversify the supplier network to strengthen resilience and ensure consistent supply • Align with Marketing, R&D, Operations, and Quality on centralized commercial governance and site-level execution • Drive recycled content, lightweighting, and simplified material formats to meet ESG objectives • Lead and coach regional procurement resources and a 1–2-person packaging-adjacent supply spend team • Build should-cost, total cost, and LPP models incorporating yield, scrap, freight, and quality • Prepare updates for senior leadership on market dynamics, supplier performance, risk posture, commodity impacts, mitigation strategies, and savings opportunities • Enforce supplier KPIs covering quality, delivery, emissions, and competitiveness
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Packaging Engineering, Business, or a related highly analytical discipline • 10+ years of progressive, global procurement experience • Proven track record managing highly complex packaging portfolios in the FMCG, chemical, or manufacturing sectors • Deep understanding of packaging manufacturing processes, including extrusion, blow molding, corrugation, and printing • Understanding of raw material index mechanisms and advanced strategic sourcing methodologies • Advanced capability in should-cost modeling, tooling analysis, and index-based contract mechanics • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle • Experience with e-procurement tools such as Coupa, Ariba, or Rosslyn • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment • Ability to adapt to changing situations, new information, and unexpected challenges • Ability to travel up to 10% • Master’s degree preferred • Multilingual capabilities, such as Mandarin or Thai, preferred • APICS or ISM certification, such as CPIM or CPSM, is a plus
