Pace runs year‑round Day Programs offering a full academic school day with comprehensive counseling, therapy, career/college readiness, and small class sizes, plus a Reach Program delivering flexible, community-based mental health services. 📋 Description

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and treasury activities • Lead monthly and year-end close processes • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and supporting schedules • Monitor financial results and departmental budgets, investigate variances, and provide financial analysis and reporting • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for executive leadership and Board committees • Oversee banking activities, cash management, electronic payments, wire transfers, and disbursements • Ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, organizational policies, grant and donor requirements, and regulations • Oversee accounting and reporting for grants, donor-restricted funds, and program-specific funding • Serve as primary liaison for external auditors and coordinate audit schedules, workpapers, and documentation • Support Form 990, Single Audit, Form 1099, and other financial and regulatory filings • Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures • Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members • Evaluate accounting processes and implement technology and workflow improvements • Support financial system upgrades, implementations, integrations, and related initiatives • Partner with program leaders, executive leadership, auditors, grantors, and external partners • Provide timely financial information and analysis for organizational decision-making • Respond to financial information requests and provide service to stakeholders • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required • CPA designation preferred • Five to seven years of progressive accounting experience • At least two to three years of supervisory or management experience • Experience with financial reporting, general ledger management, month-end and year-end close, audit preparation, and internal controls • Experience with nonprofit accounting, grants management, restricted funds, and nonprofit financial reporting strongly preferred • Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles • Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as Multiview, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar platforms • Strong financial analysis, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to complete and participate in all required trainings and drills • Required to align with Pace’s Mission, Values, and Guiding Principles, maintain ethical standards, and comply with policies and procedures • Level II pre-employment background screening required pursuant to Florida statutes and Department of Juvenile Justice policy and procedures
