• Develop and grow a Specialty Analytical Services (SAS) Program/Division by maximizing sales through a sound strategy. • Serve as the subject matter expert for the SAS Program/Division, providing training and knowledge to staff and clients. • Research market and competition, review trends, and forecast growth to develop sales and market plans. • Attend and participate in technical conferences and national trade shows to provide expertise and generate new business. • Work with Sales Teams and Marketing to provide expert knowledge to current and prospective clients. • Set sales goals and revenue objectives to increase market share. • Write and review proposals, marketing materials, presentation materials, and training materials. • Provide complex analysis, interpretation, and counsel to customers, staff, management, and functional leaders. • Develop recommendations on product and service features based on customer needs and technical capabilities. • Coordinate customer feedback, resources, and responses. • Report national market conditions and sales focus areas to management. • Ensure development, implementation, and interpretation of policies and procedures and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. • Contribute to department efficiency and effectiveness and participate as an active work team member. • Promote and support the overall mission of Pace Analytics.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, chemistry, operations, or a closely related field; AND five (5) years of experience within the specialty analytical service, including experience with complex programs or operations; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. • Advanced to expert principles, practices and techniques in the area. • Comprehensive understanding of the administration and oversight of area programs, policies and procedures. • Comprehensive understanding of applicable area laws, codes and regulations. • Advanced to expert methods to resolve sales and customer problems, questions and concerns. • Understanding of various testing tools, equipment, and processing. • Computer applications and systems related to the work. • Principles and practices to serving as an effective project team member. • Methods to communicate with staff, coworkers, and customers to ensure safe, effective and appropriate operations. • Correct business English, including spelling, grammar and punctuation. • Performing intermediate to complex professional-level sales duties. • Overseeing and administering various sales functions. • Training others in policies and procedures related to the work. • Serving as a team member and the development and management of projects. • Operating in both a team and individual contributor environment. • Interpreting, applying and explaining applicable laws, codes and regulations. • Preparing intermediate to complex account reports, correspondence and other written materials. • Using initiative and independent judgment within established department guidelines. • Performing effective oral presentations to large and small groups. • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
