• Build relationships with sales distribution partners, primarily Individual Independent Producers and Regional Brokerage Firms • Achieve distribution contact activity targets through marketing strategies and plans • Build sustainable relationships that promote sales to employer group markets • Develop profitable new business opportunities and maintain existing business relationships • Identify, build and manage relationships with benefit consultants, brokers and enrollment firms • Serve as the executive relationship manager • Collaborate with senior management, home office staff, field sales staff, consultants, agents, brokers, enrollment entities and PALIG divisional partners • Provide reporting to Senior Management as requested • Maintain current and accurate CRM account and producer information • Develop and execute short- and long-term marketing strategies/business plans to promote PALIG products and services and increase producer-partner sales • Monitor business, competitor and market trends and incorporate insights into strategies and initiatives • Represent PALIG at client meetings, industry events, networking functions and business development activities • Participate in client lunches, dinners and relationship-building events • Maintain a professional presence that strengthens the company's reputation and market position • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree • 10 years of experience in technical sales, sales management and working with national benefit brokerage, benefit consulting firms, and benefit communications and technology firms; four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree • Minimum of five years broker/agency experience required • Worksite and/or supplemental insurance experience preferred, with emphasis on large case (500+ employees) and interaction with large national brokerage and consulting firms and benefit communication (enrollment & technology) firms • Advanced knowledge of individual and group insurance products, payroll allotment and IRS 125, and workplace/voluntary benefits • Active domiciled State Life & Health License • Ability to work flexible hours, including frequent client luncheons, dinners and events • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred, not required • Valid driver's license • 75% travel requirement within defined geography • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Practical, positive and quick thinker • Expertise to provide solutions with creative ideas • Ability to work at a fast pace and handle challenging obstacles • Detail oriented • Excellent organization and time management skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Must be able to communicate effectively and collaborate with internal departments and outside vendors • Basic math skills required
