📋 Description

• Design, implement, and test software solutions for K-12 schools’ learning environments • Design, implement, and test RESTful web services using NodeJS, Google Apps Script, and Postman • Use AWS services to build, host, and maintain application environments • Maintain source code repositories and branching/merging strategies with Git • Analyze and resolve technical and application problems • Provide analysis and troubleshooting support for production issues and code deployments • Contribute to user interface design and development • Collaborate with developers, testers, and product owners • Set up and administer SIS, LMS, and third-party integrations for existing and new schools • Work with enrollment and development teams on complex data mapping into the learning ecosystem • Coordinate day-to-day systems operations • Diagnose system anomalies and resolve issues with school staff, administrators, and operational teams • Perform routine maintenance and application updates on servers and instances • Coordinate with vendors on maintenance impacts and communicate with affected parties • Support projects, data requests, automation, and custom reports across departments • Create and maintain documentation and provide training to corporate staff as needed • Support systems during school year-end activities and annual rollovers

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical or electronics engineering, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or equivalent degree • Experience administering complex systems/integrations such as Canvas LMS, SIS, and Clever Integrations • Strong technical aptitude to learn new systems, processes, and backend reporting • Experience developing open standards-based solutions, including web services, web applications, and modern user interfaces • Significant, demonstrable experience implementing features across software development teams and environments • Ability to design, write, edit, modify, and debug code focused on automating manual tasks • Exceptional oral and written communication skills • Understanding of relational databases and proficiency with SQL • Experience with message queue technology and design patterns • 3+ years of experience with NodeJS • 3+ years of experience with JavaScript • Familiarity with AWS services including S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, EC2, CloudFront, and Redshift • Experience with the Amazon Web Services API • Experience with Git version control • Experience with Unix/Linux environments • Experience with ticket tracking and resolving issues for end users • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI) • Applicants in California, Colorado, and New York are not eligible for this position
