📋 Description

• Act as a lead team member supporting and supervising on-site field work focused on safety, quality, and efficiency. • Perform up-tower repairs and diagnostics on medium and major components, including generator bearings, generator slip rings, rotor and stator cables, gearbox HSS, HSS bearings, IMS, yaw drives, generator exchanges, and trunnion pins. • Lead team members during lifting operations for equipment at heights over 250 feet. • Oversee lifting operations after skills verification and create, review, correct, and amend lifting plans. • Conduct safe and efficient repairs to Wind Turbine electrical systems. • Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) as an Authorized Person. • Conduct pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analyses, Risk Assessments, and daily safety discussions. • Interact professionally with vendors and customers. • Document work in electronic formats and provide feedback to the Safety and Quality department.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of direct experience on any Platforms. • Direct turbine specific experience is required. • Ability to read and interpret schematics by various Wind Turbine manufacturers. • Main Component Exchange (MCE) experience required with additional knowledge in lifting operations. • Detailed knowledge and skill in generators, converters, controllers, and electrical equipment. • Ability to recognize potential issues and major faults. • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. • Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet. • Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance. • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed, including more than 50 pounds. • Ability to work indoors or outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
