📋 Description

• Own and continuously improve the company financial model and rolling forecasts • Track actuals versus budget and surface variances, drivers, and recommendations to leadership • Lead annual budget development and ongoing budget management • Partner with functional leads to translate operational plans into financial numbers • Own headcount planning and workforce cost modelling • Partner with leadership on hiring pace, role prioritization, and organizational design trade-offs • Lead monthly and quarterly board reporting materials, including KPI dashboards, financial summaries, and trend narratives • Analyze growth and pricing decisions supporting go-to-market and revenue strategy • Manage the external accounting firm and review monthly close, reconciliations, and journal entries • Own cash flow and runway management; present weekly and monthly burn and cash position reports • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense/corporate card programs • Set and enforce finance policies • Oversee payroll processing and benefits reconciliation with HR/PEO • Lead fundraising and investor due-diligence support • Own state and local tax filings and manage relationships with external tax advisors

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in FP&A, financial planning, or finance operations at startups or growth-stage companies • Proven track record in financial modelling and budget ownership • Advanced financial modelling and forecasting skills • Experience building and owning dynamic models from scratch • Experience owning annual budget processes and ongoing budget management • Experience with headcount planning and workforce cost modelling • Experience building board-grade reporting and translating financial data into strategic recommendations • Experience managing and reviewing external accounting firms or bookkeepers • Cash-management experience, including burn/runway reporting and recommendations • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets • Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, Carta, or similar systems • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Ability to explain financial drivers to non-finance leaders and investors • Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving startup environment • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field • Familiarity with GAAP accounting practices and startup equity mechanics is a bonus • CPA or equivalent is a plus
