📋 Description

• Perform client-site servicing, repair, and installation of company products • Provide technical support on operational and maintenance aspects of system equipment • Serve as customer contact for technical and service-related problems • Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures using established procedures • Determine cost-effective repairs or resolutions to minimize customer downtime • Prepare reports for product failure trends and serviceability issues • Travel throughout OH, MI, IN, KY, and PA, with most clients located in or near OH • Travel to client facilities and perform specialized analyses in the Springfield, IL office • Complete preventative maintenance on Delta or Perten Instruments equipment • Coordinate schedules and prerequisites with the Service Coordinator and customers • Install, calibrate, qualify, and conduct site surveys for Delta or Perten Instruments equipment • Coordinate training completion with Specialists • Complete minor Delta Instruments repairs with guidance from Specialists • Coordinate communication and security protocols for customer network integration • Assist with Application Support on all equipment • Interface with peers and customers and develop organizational awareness of functional groups and product lines

🎯 Requirements

• Technical Degree or equivalent work history • Approximately 80% travel, including overnights but usually not weekends • Knowledge of GMP and Plant Safety Protocols • Strong interpersonal skills and customer satisfaction focus • Ability to follow written and verbal directions and understand technical bulletins and service manuals • Ability to work under time constraints and maintain alertness and concentration • Ability to work safely with potential electrical, chemical, radiologic, and biologic hazards using universal precautions • Licensed driver • Ability to operate a personal computer to enter data and generate reports • Clear and effective communication with peers, managers, customers, and technical support professionals • Ability to regularly walk, stand, sit, talk or hear, and use hands to operate tools or controls • Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl • Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds • Close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus • Background in Food Science or Food/Grain Processing preferred
