📋 Description

• Lead assigned DJ Basin oil and gas projects in Colorado from scope development through site planning, civil design, permitting, delivery, and closeout • Serve as the primary client contact and report to the Portfolio Manager • Coordinate Surveying, Remote Sensing, GIS, Drafting, Civil Engineering, and Permitting teams • Translate client objectives into deliverables, project phases, tasks, budgets, timelines, dependencies, and critical paths • Develop scopes, assumptions, exclusions, budgets, effort estimates, milestones, and schedules with technical leads • Lead status discussions, secure decisions, and communicate progress, risks, and revised commitments • Coordinate survey and remote sensing work, field access, resources, collection needs, and delivery dates • Track survey data, maps, exhibits, revisions, and handoffs between departments • Obtain client information, layout preferences, design criteria, and decisions for site planning and engineering teams • Integrate engineering deliverables and ECMC, local, and applicable federal permitting milestones into project schedules • Review hours, costs, progress, remaining effort, variances, budgets, forecasts, time, expenses, and invoices • Assess scope changes, document impacts, secure approvals, and revise budgets, schedules, or client commitments • Identify risks and delays, develop alternatives, adjust sequencing or resources, and escalate decisions with recommendations • Coordinate technical reviews and comment resolution before delivery • Maintain project records, complete closeout and final billing, and share lessons learned • Follow company safety, quality, and data-security requirements • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support without direct supervisory responsibility

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of project management or project coordination experience in surveying, engineering, GIS, environmental services, permitting, energy, or related professional services • Responsibility for scope, schedules, budgets, and client communication • Experience coordinating technical teams, field and office handoffs, and client-facing delivery of site, survey, mapping, permitting, or related project work • Experience preparing proposals, project budgets, and effort estimates, and tracking project performance and scope changes • Working knowledge of survey/geospatial, civil/site, environmental, or permitting delivery • Ability to define scope, phases, tasks, dependencies, resource needs, milestones, and critical path • Ability to interpret budgets, hours, progress, remaining work, variances, forecasts, and scope requirements • Effective client and team coordination across concurrent assignments • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and project tools • Reliable internet access and a designated, quiet workspace • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and review detailed drawings, maps, technical documentation, and spreadsheets • Must be authorized to work in the United States and perform work within continental U.S. time zones • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field • Preferred: PMP or similar project management certification • Preferred: Colorado upstream oil and gas site planning and permitting experience
