• Inform customer decision-making and improve population health through real-world data analytics, pharmacoeconomic analyses, outcomes evaluations, and medical presentations • Educate customers on the clinical and economic impact of Pfizer medicines and products • Plan and execute independent Medical strategy and customer engagement within an assigned territory • Contribute to Medical educational content strategy and execute aligned Field Medical tactics • Collaborate with headquarters Medical, Medical Information, and Field Medical colleagues • Deliver scientific communication through live and virtual presentations, written communication, and telephone or virtual conversations • Develop and execute customer-specific projects, collaborations, strategic medical partnerships, and non-interventional studies • Respond to medical questions regarding Pfizer products and provide therapeutic-area expertise • Present to payers, managed care organizations, formulary decision makers, and regional medical advisory boards • Facilitate communication between regional/national healthcare organizations and headquarters Medical Affairs • Provide customer insights for brand medical strategies • Facilitate Pfizer-sponsored research, collaborative projects, quality improvement research, and non-interventional studies • Develop and implement Real-World Evidence-based outcomes tools, HOPEs, educational programs, and population health initiatives • Serve as Field Medical Outcomes lead for assigned customers and execute medical account plans • Engage Quality Improvement Organizations, advocacy groups, coalitions, and medical/healthcare associations • Provide medical support and guidance for Health Information Technology initiatives • Analyze clinical healthcare information-system workflows to reduce care gaps and improve care efficiency and population health • Develop clinical content and innovative HIT tools and resources • Provide e-data collection and clinical informatics expertise • Create internal and external tools, resources, and educational materials • Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs with clinical/professional associations and societies • Enhance customer recognition through collaborative projects, publications, and healthcare awards • Collaborate with Pfizer colleagues to understand outcomes of interest and data-analysis needs • Review scientific literature, competitive developments, network with experts, and attend conferences • Respond to unsolicited scientific and pharmacoeconomic customer requests • Manage a significant volume of field-based projects and prioritize implementation • Educate healthcare organizations on patient care gaps, disease states, and guideline-based care • Provide territory/customer leadership, serve on committees, and support mentorship and onboarding • Maintain professional licensure and complete required training
• Bachelor’s degree in health science required • PharmD, PhD, or equivalent terminal doctoral degree preferred • 8+ years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree; 7+ years with master’s degree; 5+ years with terminal doctorate degree • Experience in clinical, formulary, and/or other management; Managed Care, pharmaceutical industry, and/or Quality Improvement; or Data Analytics and/or HEOR activities • Strong methodological skills in study design, data analysis, and interpretation in health services research • Significant experience interacting with payers and other organized customers • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict constructively • Strong analytic skills • Strong comprehension and communication skills for scientific information • Ability to prioritize multiple demands and employ situational leadership skills • Valid US driver’s license and driving record compliant with company standards • DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years disqualifies hiring • Flexibility to travel 40–50% of the time • Reasonable proximity to an airline hub city; within a 2-hour drive of a major airport • Ability to work occasional weekends • Ability to regularly fly on airplanes and travel overnight • Must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer • Permanent work authorization in the United States required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is unavailable
