📋 Description

• Provide therapeutic-area and product expertise across external medical stakeholders and initiatives in an assigned U.S. territory • Plan and execute independent Medical strategy and engagement with assigned external medical stakeholders • Maintain knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas, disease states, and Pfizer medicines • Provide medical information and share external medical stakeholder insights with Pfizer • Contribute to Medical educational content strategy and execute aligned Field Medical tactics • Communicate scientific information through live and virtual presentations, written communication, and telephone or virtual conversations • Educate external medical stakeholders on patient care gaps, disease states, and guideline-based care • Deliver approved medical content about Pfizer medicines and relevant topics • Communicate real-world data, pharmacoeconomic analyses, outcomes evaluations, and medical presentations • Provide scientifically sound information using pharmacoeconomic models, outcomes tools, educational programs, HOPEs, non-interventional studies, and collaborations • Execute projects, collaborations, strategic medical patient care projects, and non-interventional studies • Serve as Medical lead for assigned stakeholders, developing and executing Medical account plans • Engage Quality Improvement Organizations, Advocacy Groups, Coalitions, and medical/healthcare associations • Collaborate with Pfizer colleagues including Key Account Managers, Account Directors, PHI, Field Medical, Headquarters Medical, and HEOR • Respond to unsolicited medical requests in compliance with Pfizer guidelines, policies, and procedures • Lead advisory boards with manager oversight • Field inbound stakeholder queries through the established triage process • Partner with Vaccines Research & Development and Global Product Development to identify clinical-trial sites, including sites serving under-represented populations • Provide Medical support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research process • Cultivate research and therapeutic-area expertise through congress data and disease-state literature • Provide asset leadership and understand study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation • Lead the assigned territory and deliver insights on local patient organizations and population needs • Serve on Medical, therapeutic-area, and asset cross-functional committees • Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs with clinical/professional associations and societies • Mentor onboarding partners, advisory-board participants, and study leads • Participate in special projects as needed

🎯 Requirements

• MD or DO Degree required • 4+ years of relevant experience required • Experience in hospital therapies, outcomes, and/or epidemiology a plus • Clinical, formulary, and/or other management experience • Managed Care, Payer, Organized Customer, pharmaceutical industry, and/or Quality Improvement experience • Subject matter expertise in vaccines • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict constructively • Ability to manage significant project volume in a remote environment, prioritize, implement successfully, and exercise excellent judgment • Ability to work within a matrixed, multidisciplinary team • Ability to lead change and adapt to organizational change • Clinical and technical skills • Ability to rapidly adopt and utilize new digital technology and record medical interactions • Familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations regarding Pfizer/external medical stakeholder interactions (preferred) • Previous Field Medical experience (preferred) • Experience applying health information technology in the U.S. healthcare system (preferred) • Experience optimizing/customizing top EHR platforms, including developing EHR clinical solutions (preferred) • Understanding of the complex U.S. healthcare environment and emerging healthcare trends (preferred) • Ability to operate a Pfizer company car and regularly fly on airplanes • Flexibility to travel 40–50% of the time • Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record compliant with company standards • Must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer • Requires permanent work authorization in the United States • U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
