âą Own and define the coherent target-state enterprise architecture across legacy systems, the modern platform, and bridging components âą Translate approved requirements into complete solution packages including architecture and state diagrams, data models, API and interface specifications, integration designs, and traceable test strategies âą Decide and defend what should use out-of-the-box configuration versus custom code âą Own logical and physical data models, data dictionaries, migration strategy, bridging strategy, and data governance enforcement âą Design APIs, batch exchanges, and system-to-system transfers connecting the federal agency with lenders, servicers, and partner systems âą Design resilient, self-recovering, and monitored mortgage data integrations âą Sequence legacy-function migrations, design bridge services, maintain consistency between platforms, and plan bridge retirement âą Produce executable plans with scope and level of effort through a formal intake process within days âą Engineer Zero Trust alignment, accessibility, data protection, authorization evidence, security, and compliance into designs âą Run design reviews, document architecture standards, enforce standards, and mentor engineers and analysts âą Use AI tools to analyze legacy code and data structures, recover business rules, accelerate architecture artifacts, pressure-test designs, and prototype integrations âą Help determine where AI should and should not be used within federal security, data, privacy, and authorization boundaries âą Present tradeoffs, defend recommendations, challenge harmful decisions, and own outcomes under ambiguity âą Lead technical direction for dozens of engineers building a Salesforce-centered platform with serverless government-cloud capabilities
âą Deep mortgage industry domain expertise, including the loan lifecycle from origination through servicing, loss mitigation, and claims âą Understanding of mortgage data, regulatory pressure points, and industry participants âą Enterprise and solution architecture experience across application, data, and integration architecture âą Experience owning target-state architectures, complex integrations, and data migrations âą Experience producing architecture and solution design artifacts used to build production systems âą Experience designing within regulated federal environments or delivering technology to federal housing programs âą Experience with authorization, security controls, accessibility, and federal documentation requirements âą Experience decomposing aging systems, extracting business rules, and sequencing replacements while legacy systems remain in production âą Demonstrated use of AI tools in architecture and analysis work, such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot âą Ability to translate statute and policy into architecture for engineers and architecture into consequences for executives and program officials âą Ability to make defensible design decisions under ambiguity, document assumptions, and revise when facts change âą Must be based in the United States âą Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance âą Full-time W-2 employment with PhoenixTeam âą Salesforce platform architecture or comparable configuration-first enterprise platform experience is helpful but not required âą Hands-on MISMO, URLA, or other mortgage data standards implementation experience is helpful but not required âą Experience with VA, FHA, USDA, or GSE programs and systems is helpful but not required âą Serverless architecture in AWS GovCloud or similar government cloud environments is helpful but not required
