📋 Description
• Review, analyze, and assign codes based on appropriate coding guidelines and criteria for outpatient medical record documentation • Code medical, diagnostic, and surgical documentation • Assign correct ICD-10-CM and/or CPT-4 HCPCS codes • Maintain primary coding responsibility for Hospital Outpatient Surgery, Wound Care, and Observation
🎯 Requirements
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required • Hospital coding experience required • One or more certifications upon hire required: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, or coding certificate program (AHIMA accredited) • Experience in coding at a multi-hospital organization preferred • Remote coding experience preferred
