📋 Description

• Provide configuration management, change management, and technical documentation expertise for a large Federal Government client • Maintain accurate, controlled, and traceable technical information throughout the project lifecycle • Identify, control, record, audit, and report the status of configuration items • Maintain records for hardware, software, system configurations, documentation, and deliverables • Develop and update technical processes, configuration standards, baselines, and procedures • Support change-control processes and maintain associated documentation and traceability • Maintain and support centralized CMDB information in accordance with ITSM practices • Coordinate configuration management activities across technical and project teams • Perform documentation reviews and quality-control activities to ensure accurate technical artifacts • Travel may be required for meetings, training, presentations, or briefings with project stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain the required VA background investigation/suitability determination and system access • Certification in one or more of IAT III, IAM III, or IASAE III certifications • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in an IT-related field, including Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, or Information Resource Management • IAT III, IAM III, or IASAE III certifications may be substituted for a relevant Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience • Minimum of 5 years of IT experience • At least 3 years of Configuration Management/Tech Editing experience at a large corporation or Government agency similar in size/scope to GSA, IRS, DoD, or VA • Master’s degree in a related IT field may substitute for up to 2 years of required experience • Expertise in project management or working in a project-oriented environment • Understanding of how configuration management fits into the overall project lifecycle • Experience with configuration/change management and technical documentation in IT or software development environments • Experience with ITSM practices and centralized CMDBs • Preferred: VA/Federal technical documentation experience • Preferred: ITIL certification • Preferred: Experience with automated configuration or compliance tracking tools
