📋 Description

• Provide technical support to customers throughout the life of a machine • Advise and physically assist customers in identifying equipment-operation problems • Offer innovative solutions to improve customer efficiency and economics • Train customers’ operators and technicians onsite on system setup, operation, change-over, and maintenance • Attend classes required to obtain and maintain PMMI service training certification • Assemble component parts for the Aftermarket parts group • Perform occasional machine rebuilds and upgrades • Research machine designs to identify non-standard parts • Respond to customers’ immediate service-support requests • Prepare detailed customer and company trip reports documenting problems, actions taken, and recommended next steps • Prepare field-time reports, expense receipts, and follow-up customer communications • Develop machine operation manuals and troubleshooting guides • Exchange machine-design observations with the engineering department • Update and organize technical files • Assemble and test new machines • Participate in customer Factory Acceptance Tests

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in a related technical field or 8 years of related work experience • 3+ years in custom machine manufacturing or mechanical repair/maintenance • Excellent knowledge of mechanical/electrical technical applications • Specific knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs, servo-driven motors and controls, stepper motors and controls, and pneumatic-driven machinery • Ability to read and understand complex engineering designs, including wiring schematics • Packaging industry experience preferred • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Strong problem-solving and independent judgment skills • Track record of successfully multitasking to meet timelines on deliverables • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 85% • Employment eligibility to work in the United States
