📋 Description

• Design, create, and maintain computer applications and systems, including dynamic surveys • Conceptualize and construct software applications tailored to project requirements • Develop intuitive and visually appealing applications using modern software technologies and relational databases such as SQL Server • Collaborate with the project team to ensure seamless software integration and functionality • Test and debug applications to identify and resolve issues • Continuously improve digital project components, performance, and user experience • Support a comprehensive National Survey of Attitudes and Beliefs on Driving, Drinking, and Drug Use • Contribute to a transportation safety initiative for the U.S. Department of Transportation and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration • Prepare thorough, accurate, and appropriately documented work products • Meet project milestones and delivery schedules • Maintain ethical and professional standards when working with clients and project teams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field • Minimum of 2–3 years' hands-on experience in software development • Experience creating visually appealing and intuitive applications • Demonstrated mastery of programming languages and software development methodologies • Experience with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software • Experience creating user-friendly applications and systems, particularly surveys • Up-to-date working knowledge of relational database software, such as SQL Server • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills • High level of analytical skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical reports or journals • Ability to write scopes of work, budget estimates, schedules, reports of findings, proposals, correspondence, and technical documents • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio; ability to learn other tools • Ability to communicate in both written and spoken Spanish and English in the specialized field of Transportation Engineering • U.S. Citizenship required • Clear vision and depth perception necessary • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds • Ability to interact and communicate with internal and external clients at all levels • Must be sharp, focused, and alert during site inspections, client interactions, and report preparation • Visa sponsorship is not available; H-1B and TN visa sponsorship will not be supported
