• Drive volume and financial results through a network of convenience wholesale and retail customers within an assigned geography. • Execute channel-defined DSMPs and strategies at assigned customers. • Develop personal relationships with customers through effective management of assigned broker sales agents. • Manage overall account and regional financial activities, including trade promotions, deductions, rack and slotting, and SG&A. • Use IRI data, sales reports, and budget summary reports to analyze sales trends, risks, and opportunities. • Manage PVM DSMP strategies within the assigned national customer base. • Analyze syndicated and consumption data to deliver overall goals. • Leverage Shopper Insights and Category Management principles to translate customer understanding into winning solutions and execution of customer plans. • Communicate with internal sales and operations associates, external retail customers up to senior management, and broker partners. • Develop account-level plans throughout the year and identify monthly opportunities and risks. • Follow up on opportunities with internal sales and marketing teams to bring ideas to customers profitably. • Continually address risks and opportunities for the assigned customer base.
• BA/BS in Business or a related field required. • Minimum 3+ years of experience in the CPG industry and developing retailers, wholesalers, and distributers. • Minimum 2+ years of experience in broker management. • High degree of computer skills - MS Office Application experience is required (i.e. Word, Outlook, PPT etc). • Demonstrated ability in negotiation and selling skills with a proven selling track record. • Must have prior experience using data driven software (IRI or Nielsen) and leveraging syndicated and consumption data. • Ability to develop strategic key account business plans and apply necessary leadership to execute efficiently and effectively. Monitor and measure all aspects of plans. • Strong financial analysis and business acumen required. • Category management knowledge • Ability to be innovative and creative with plans, solutions, opportunities, and ideas. • Strong project management skills. • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to communicate in an informative, persuasive, and directional way. • Ability to travel as required – 2-3 days per week on average (up to 60%) • Must reside in the Great Plains geographic territory that encompasses key states of Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas or similar geography.
