📋 Description

• Design, specify, calculate settings for, and coordinate protective relaying and relay control schemes • Perform modeling, short circuit studies, and overstressed breaker studies • Develop protective relaying recommendations for proposed generation interconnections to clients’ electrical systems • Ensure relay settings activities, initiatives, and processes conform to company policies, objectives, and client design standards • Present technical solutions to key customers • Respond in real time to technical concerns and answer questions knowledgeably and articulately • Collaborate with Qualus groups and individuals to develop and implement technical solutions supporting Engineering Department objectives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with a power systems focus, or an MS degree in engineering in lieu of the BS engineering degree • International Engineering Degrees will be considered • Experience in protection and control engineering and relay settings • Experience using ASPEN or CAPE • Professional Engineering registration or plan to become registered is a plus • Strong analytical and computer skills • Ability to identify necessary software to complete design work • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of support personnel • Strong commitment to customer service and care • Highly motivated self-starter • Proven multitasking skills • Excellent document management and organizational skills • CYME familiarity, reclosers/sectionalizing schemes/fuse coordination preferred
