📋 Description

• Manage expenses, billings, and budgets for projects assigned by the Director of Finance • Maintain project cost records and expenses • Perform month-end project accounting close functions • Investigate billing issues • Provide forecasting to ensure projects are completed within expected budgets • Collaborate with project managers on financial aspects through project completion • Oversee how projects earn revenue in the accounting system • Provide monthly project earnings analysis • Analyze project cost reports • Meet with the Director of Finance and Project Managers to review invoicing, profitability, earnings, costs, and cash flow • Prepare and execute project budgets • Reconcile invoices to clients, vendors, or contractors • Set up and maintain projects in the accounting system according to contract terms • Maintain an organized accounting system while complying with financial regulations, policies, and procedures • Review contracts, amendments, and agreements • Liaise between Project Managers, Project Accountants, Leadership, and the accounting team • Monitor payments, purchase orders, invoices, and statements and follow up where necessary • Assist with the annual business plan • Research and resolve financial issues independently • Provide recommendations or commentary as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Minimum of 5 years in accounting, preferably in a project-based environment • Basic accounting principles and US GAAP knowledge • Proficiency in Excel • Strong problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
