📋 Description

• Lead delivery of advanced solutions across Application Development, Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Machine Learning • Migrate client workloads from on-premise datacenter environments to AWS • Enable clients to leverage cloud capabilities • Assess VMware environments and plan migrations • Perform wave planning and dependency analysis • Engage stakeholders throughout migration initiatives • Design and implement AWS cloud architectures with appropriate security and compliance • Execute virtual machine lift-and-shift (rehost) migrations to AWS EC2-based architectures • Use migration tools including Cloud Endure, Double-Take, AWS Migration Hub, AWS MGN, AWS SMS, and AWS DMS • Analyze migration strategies using AWS Migration Evaluator and Portfolio Assessment tools • Troubleshoot Linux and Windows operating system issues during migrations • Handle database server migrations and optimize database queries and application performance • Monitor cloud infrastructure and application performance using Amazon CloudWatch • Build and manage container hosting platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS • Work in Agile and DevOps environments

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience • Experience migrating workloads from on-premise datacenter environments to AWS • Expertise in AWS Cloud Migration, including EC2, EBS, VPCs, Migration Hub, and MGN • VMware environment assessment and migration planning experience • Experience with wave planning, dependency analysis, and stakeholder engagement • Strong AWS architecture, security, and compliance knowledge • Recent experience with different migration approaches • Experience with on-premises VMware or other platform-based virtual machine lift-and-shift (rehost) migration to AWS EC2 architectures • Experience with Cloud Endure, Double-Take, AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Server Migration Service (SMS), and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) • Understanding of database servers • Expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, auto-scaling, Landing Zone, and Control Tower • Proficiency with AWS Migration Evaluator and Portfolio Assessment tools • Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, cloud-based web services architecture, design patterns, and frameworks • Understanding of Windows or Linux operating systems • Experience troubleshooting Linux/Windows OS issues during migration • Knowledge of compute, storage, network, and messaging services including SNS and SQS • Familiarity with VMware ecosystem including vSphere, vCenter, ESX, and NSX • Familiarity with vMotion, VM Export/Import, and AWS integration • Experience monitoring cloud infrastructure and application performance with Amazon CloudWatch • Experience optimizing database queries and application performance after migration • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis • Ability to build and manage container hosting platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS • Familiarity with Puppet, Chef, and Ansible • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
