📋 Description

• Design and architect scalable, resilient network solutions across routing, switching, fabric, and security domains • Lead complex troubleshooting efforts involving routing protocols, fabric/switching connectivity, and firewall policy conflicts • Architect and maintain Cisco ACI fabric environments, including tenant design, endpoint groups, contracts, and fabric integration • Architect and maintain Cisco SD-Access fabric environments, including underlay/overlay design, fabric nodes, DNA Center policy, and segmentation • Design, configure, and troubleshoot BGP and OSPF routing environments, including redistribution, policy control, and multi-site architectures • Architect highly available switching infrastructure across Nexus, ACI, and SD-Access environments, including VXLAN/EVPN segmentation and redundancy • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPN, and threat prevention • Design and manage NAC policies and device compliance using Forescout or Aruba ClearPass • Serve as escalation point for high-level, service-impacting network issues • Identify, review, and recommend security postures to peers and security teams • Research, evaluate, and recommend hardware, software, and vendor solutions • Lead implementation planning for routers, firewalls, wireless controllers, and switches • Develop project plans and task lists; participate in peer design reviews • Partner with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate and integrate equipment and services • Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures • Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers • Participate in the team’s on-call support rotation • Architect and implement Python and Ansible automation and infrastructure-as-code pipelines for configuration consistency, compliance, and policy deployment • Rackspace Technology delivers multicloud solutions across applications, data, and security

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or regional equivalent required • Bachelor's Degree required; preferably in a field related to the role • Additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement at the manager’s discretion • CCNA or higher required (Routing and Switching, Enterprise, or Data Center track) • CCNP or CCIE preferred • Wireless certifications a plus • 8–11 years of experience in the field of the role required • Advanced knowledge of enterprise network environment design, configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrades • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and switching technologies • Advanced knowledge of BGP and OSPF design, troubleshooting, and optimization • Advanced knowledge of Cisco ACI architecture and data center fabric design • Advanced knowledge of Cisco SD-Access architecture and campus fabric design • Strong knowledge of network security architecture, including Palo Alto Networks firewall policy design and segmentation strategies • Strong knowledge of network access control concepts and enforcement using Forescout • Working knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Brocade equipment • Knowledge of Python and Ansible for network automation and infrastructure-as-code • Periodic travel to the Seattle, WA metropolitan area required, up to 10%
