📋 Description

• Prepare and re-submit clean claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper according to payer guidelines and contract requirements • Analyze and correct first-pass rejected claims for complete and accurate second-pass submission • Research and perform primary and secondary billing claim-status follow-up for assigned insurance plans • Review, evaluate, and process claim appeals with complete supporting documentation • Research and recommend customer account adjustments and write-offs to the Manager • Identify and report claims problems, errors, discrepancies, and billing trends to management • Generate and submit monthly patient balance-due statements based on insurance explanations of benefits • Review patient accounts, identify delinquent accounts, and collect overdue payments • Answer patient questions about billing and payments • Investigate or direct patient inquiries and complaints to the appropriate staff member • Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely billing and appropriate reimbursement for medical professional services

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience • Minimum 7 years plus of experience required • Experience in Medical Insurance Claims billing preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google applications • Proactive curiosity and basic AI fluency to identify efficiency gains and streamline daily workflows • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and identify trends • Ability to exercise good judgment and escalate issues appropriately • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work within a team structure and independently • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to prioritize, complete tasks, and meet deadlines • Must adhere to HIPAA guidelines, Raintree Systems HR policies, standard operating procedures, and corporate initiatives • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Visa sponsorship requirements must be disclosed
