📋 Description

• Review information at placement of files to determine collection eligibility • Conduct Georgia litigation work • Review correspondence and case files to determine whether they are suit appropriate • Review answers • Prepare discovery and dispositive motions • Conduct trials and appear for hearings • Manage a high-volume docket of civil litigation cases in debt collection • Handle all phases of litigation from commencement through post-judgment actions • Keep abreast of changes in state or local rules and consumer laws • Perform post-judgment actions including attachment and garnishment • Frequently talk and/or hear and use hands to type, handle, or touch objects • Regularly stand and walk and may stop, bend, or reach above the shoulders

🎯 Requirements

• Licensure is required with admission to the Georgia Bar • A law degree • Preferred: 1 to 4 years of experience as a general litigation attorney • Preferred: Experience in creditor’s rights litigation • Preferred: Experience in appellate court and/or Federal Court • Knowledge of post-judgment remedies including attachment and garnishment • Familiarity with state and federal consumer laws • Ability to prioritize and organize a high volume of information • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm • Maintenance of professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
