📋 Description

• Own the QA strategy across automated and manual testing, deciding what to automate, what to test by hand, and what risk to accept • Maintain regression coverage on critical paths including onboarding, payments, subscriptions, messaging, and login • Determine where third-party testing services and AI-assisted QA tooling fit • Maintain the release calendar and quality scorecards, reporting crash rates, defect escape rates, and release health to leadership • Run release retrospectives and turn incidents and escaped defects into durable process fixes • Connect release decisions to the incident response process • Run the Raya iOS app release process end-to-end, from release trains and cut/freeze/submission dates through App Store submission, phased rollout, and rollback/fix-forward • Define release readiness criteria and lead go/no-go decision-making • Build quality processes and automation systems • Focus regression and automation coverage on member-critical paths • Own escaped defects from discovery through root cause and prevention • Partner with engineering managers, product, and leadership to embed quality into workflows while balancing team velocity • Improve the release process incrementally in short cycles

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in software quality, release management, or engineering, with 3+ years managing people • Deep knowledge of the App Store release lifecycle: TestFlight, phased release, expedited review, and rejection handling • Experience with subscription and payment flows on iOS • Experience building test automation strategy for mobile, including real-device testing, feature flags, and progressive rollouts • Experience deciding the split between automated and manual testing, and managing third-party QA or crowdtesting vendors • Fluency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, and strong knowledge of Git branching strategies for mobile release workflows • Clear, direct written communication
