📋 Description

• Create optimized, DOT-compliant multi-stop routes • Drive delivery efficiencies using routing software to optimize fleet utilization and cost • Perform daily route publication and processing, including special deliveries for assigned business units • Maintain daily routing processes, procedures, and updates • Analyze routes using miles per stop, units per hour, units per mile, and route profitability • Review route performance to maximize fleet utilization and minimize returned product • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and make recommendations to the Regional Logistics Manager • Partner with the Regional Logistics Manager and delivery stakeholders on routing strategies • Use reports and routing technology to identify root causes of service and routing issues and resolve them • Build, maintain, and remove customer data across multiple systems • Establish and maintain optimal routing details for customers • Share best practices and mentor fellow Logistics Planners • Collaborate on standards and best practices for new and evolving processes • Provide flexible regional coverage when another Logistics Planner is unavailable • Lead and participate in Kaizen and value stream mapping activities • Utilize lean tools, including VSM, Kaizen, and A3, for continuous process improvement • Comply with corporate policies and applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulations • Maintain high safety and ethical standards

🎯 Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required • A bachelor’s degree is preferred • 3+ years of experience with routing and logistics software, preferably Final Mile • Customer service aptitude and attitude • Strong critical thinking skills and/or root cause analysis experience • Sense of urgency and bias for action • Intermediate to advanced expertise with Microsoft Suite, including Teams • Strong organization and time management skills • Demonstrated team building and motivational competencies • Ability to improve processes, provide root cause analysis, and influence change and people • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR required • Ability to manage stress and reason through complex business situations • Ability to work weekends and evenings when required • Ability to travel, potentially with overnight stays
