📋 Description

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise • Manage backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization activities for data engineering projects • Collaborate with business and technical leaders to set and execute strategic and tactical initiatives • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering • Identify and evaluate new platforms and tools to enhance the tech stack and improve data infrastructure and processes • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines from various TMS and other data sources • Design and implement new data structures or extend existing structures to support evolving business requirements • Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and completeness through data validation and monitoring processes • Develop and maintain the Data Vault, Data Warehouse, and Data Marts to deliver key metrics • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, executives, clients, engineers, and external vendors • Improve and harden code deployments, data validation, error handling and alerting, data democratization, and modernization of technical debt

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required (or equivalent experience), preferably in Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field • 8+ years of technology experience • Experience with Amazon Relational Database Service (Aurora, MySQL), Microsoft SQL Server, or Snowflake • Exceptional SQL development and performance tuning skills • Strong experience with Python, including Pandas, Streamlit, and NumPy • Understanding of JSON and CSV • Experience with Requests • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud • Creative thinker who is intellectually curious, with a passion for solving puzzles and continuous learning • Experience with TMS, WMS, or other enterprise logistics platforms is a strong plus • Experience with Data Vault 2.0 is a strong plus • Experience with Fivetran is a strong plus • Experience with Azure Data Factory is a strong plus • Experience with REST API is a strong plus • Experience with Coalesce.io is a strong plus • Experience with YAML is a strong plus • Experience with Git, DevOps, and CI/CD is a strong plus • Self-starter, entrepreneurial, highly adaptable, and able to take initiative in a fast-moving environment • Strong communication and leadership skills
