📋 Description

• Promptly acknowledge receipt of each proofreading assignment • Meet all assigned deadlines • Download and review resources needed for each assignment • Proofread transcripts according to the assigned proofing level • Review transcripts for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, formatting, and consistency • Review and clear indiscernible portions using available audio when possible • Verify and correct transcript captions and indexes • Address editor questions or escalate unresolved issues to the Transcript Production Team • Use Track Changes to produce a redlined transcript reflecting all edits • Add instructional comments to help editors improve future assignments • Submit a redlined transcript, illustrative comments, and completed proofreading scorecard • Request deadline extensions at least one day before the deadline when necessary • Upload the completed transcript and invoice • Maintain strict confidentiality of entrusted information and materials

🎯 Requirements

• Experience proofreading legal deposition transcripts • Experience proofing to audio • Strong attention to detail • Ability to meet deadlines • Understanding of legal transcript parts, formatting, and styles • Ability to adhere to an established style guide • Good communication skills for collaboration with Remote Legal internal teams • Prior court reporting experience preferred • Prior digital scoping experience preferred
