📋 Description

• Serve as technical lead for power and analog solutions supporting system-level customer design engagements • Support pre- and post-design activities, including schematic review, component selection, technical guidance, and issue resolution • Lead customer power architecture development, including power tree design, device selection, and system optimization • Perform technical design reviews, root-cause analysis, and hands-on debugging of analog and power issues • Drive new product evaluations and competitive positioning for Renesas power and analog products • Execute lab work including board bring-up, measurement, validation, and failure analysis • Support system-level integration across power, processor, and connectivity subsystems • Provide technical guidance to customers from concept through production • Deliver field feedback to product divisions to influence roadmaps, feature prioritization, and system solution gaps • Develop and present customer trainings, technical seminars, internal enablement content, and design workshops • Establish relationships with sales, FAEs, and distribution as the regional power/analog expert • Partner with product marketing and business unit teams to align field needs with product roadmaps • Support cross-functional engagements involving MCU/MPU, AI, and connectivity platforms • Travel to support key customer engagements as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Must be located in New England; Boston area preferred • BS Electrical Engineering required; MSEE preferred • 3+ years of experience in Analog and Power Electronics • Expertise in buck/boost converters, PMICs, and LDOs • Knowledge of power tree sequencing and optimization • Experience with battery-powered system design, including fuel gauging, charging, and protection • Understanding of analog signal chains, including amplifiers, data converters, sensors, filtering, noise, stability, and signal integrity • Experience with system-level power architecture design • Schematic and PCB layout review experience, especially power integrity and thermal considerations • Bench characterization, validation, and debug of power systems • Understanding of power interaction with MCUs/MPUs, DDR, high-speed interfaces, and connectivity subsystems • Hands-on proficiency with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal analysis, and transient response measurements • Strong customer-facing communication skills • Self-driven, highly collaborative, and able to own complex technical engagements • Willingness to travel as needed, approximately 10–20% • Must comply with applicable U.S. export control requirements
