• Own the rolling demand-capacity forecast across active projects, backlog, and pipeline • Maintain the standard work breakdown structure and planned hours across portfolios • Model planned-hours burn and capacity exposure by project, portfolio, discipline, and phase • Translate utilization, backlog, and pipeline conversion metrics into hiring indicators and staffing recommendations • Provide capacity and cost-basis inputs for proposal pricing decisions • Coordinate with Business Development on weighting prospective projects in the forecast model • Facilitate weekly resourcing meetings to identify and resolve staffing conflicts • Serve as the intake and routing point for capacity-related requests • Escalate unresolved cross-functional resourcing conflicts • Maintain plan-versus-actuals variance reporting and flag milestone drift and assignment gaps • Drive schedule and resourcing data quality and correct WBS, timesheet, cost estimate, and assignment discrepancies • Co-own utilization, backlog, and conversion-rate metric definitions with Finance and Business Development • Document the data model, metric definitions, and key assumptions • Present demand-capacity forecasts to executive and senior leadership • Coordinate shared pipeline, capacity, and financial data across Business Development, Finance, Client Services, and engineering leadership • Report capacity constraints affecting proposals, schedules, or hiring plans • Build cross-functional alignment without direct authority • Own the demand-capacity forecasting system of record and published metrics • Consolidate CRM, project management, and timekeeping inputs into a trusted capacity view • Build and maintain reporting for leadership, Finance, and Client Services • Improve forecasting, data, and reporting workflows using automation and AI tools • Meet deliverables and deadlines and perform related assigned duties
• 5–8 years in professional services operations, resource planning, or project operations • Experience ideally in architecture, engineering, construction, or consulting • Demonstrated ownership of a demand-capacity or resource forecast used for staffing and hiring decisions • Fluency in professional services economics, including fixed-fee and time-and-materials contracts, margin math, burn rates, and backlog quality • Strong analytical capability • Advanced Excel skills • Experience building models from incomplete or inconsistent data • Ability to interpret and validate results • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with executives and vice presidents • Ability to work strategically and at a detailed WBS level • Demonstrated use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot for analysis, automation, or reporting • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, analytics, or a similar field, or equivalent applicable work experience • Ability to keep US Mountain Time working hours, approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday • Preferred: experience with professional services automation software such as BigTime • Preferred: experience with project management platforms such as Teamwork, Asana, or Smartsheet • Preferred: experience with CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce • Preferred: experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker • Preferred: experience building lightweight AI-assisted automations, scripts, API integrations, or data pipelines • RMCP or similar resource management credential is desirable • Employment offer contingent on completion of a background check
