• Lead Rivia Mind’s day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting for its multi-state mental health practice • Report directly to executive leadership and supervise an Accounting Coordinator • Monitor cash flow, banking activity, deposits, vendor payments, payroll funding, and other cash requirements • Ensure revenue, contractual adjustments, refunds, write-offs, and receivables are recorded accurately under company policy and US GAAP • Oversee month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes, general ledger management, bank reconciliations, and timely financial-data posting • Prepare and review income statements, balance sheets, cash-flow reports, supporting schedules, and management commentary • Supervise accounts payable, corporate credit-card programs, expense management, payroll posting, and provider payouts • Review and reconcile provider compensation, productivity-based payments, bonuses, corrections, and payroll or contractor reporting • Support multi-state accounting and compliance requirements, including state filings and payroll-related reconciliations • Maintain W-9 documentation, validate vendor tax information, prepare and issue annual Forms 1099, and coordinate tax reporting • Maintain accounting policies and internal controls and coordinate with external CPA/tax partners • Lead annual budgeting and monthly departmental Budget vs. Actuals reporting • Develop financial reporting dashboards and build financial models with forecasting and reforecasting • Reconcile insurance reimbursements, clearinghouse deposits, merchant fees, and related revenue transactions to the general ledger • Optimize financial workflows and technology, automate manual processes, strengthen controls, and reduce close timelines • Coordinate financial reviews, audits, due-diligence requests, and external examinations • Manage, coach, evaluate, and develop the Accounting Coordinator • Partner with clinical, People Operations, administrative, RCM, and executive leadership teams • Review the financial aspects of vendor agreements, service contracts, expansion opportunities, and operational commitments
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field (Required) • 5+ years of progressive operational accounting experience, including general ledger management and month-end close • Expertise in US GAAP and accrual accounting principles • Experience with accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, internal controls, and compliance • Healthcare, behavioral health, or multi-site clinical operations experience strongly preferred • Understanding of medical billing, insurance reimbursement cycles, clearinghouses, and EHR integration preferred • Demonstrated success working autonomously and cross-functionally in a distributed/remote team environment • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and bank/credit-card feed integrations • High proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/INDEX MATCH, data mapping, and financial modeling • Experience assisting with annual organizational budgets, departmental-spending tracking, and Budget vs. Actual variance reports • Comfort with Google Workspace, project-management software such as Monday.com, and EHR platforms • Exceptional accuracy in reconciliations and record-keeping • Ability to identify data discrepancies proactively • Ability to optimize month-end workflows, shorten close timelines, and strengthen internal controls • Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality • CPA, CMA, or active pursuit of certification preferred but not required • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; work-visa sponsorship is unavailable • Primary residence must be in Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, or Texas • Availability to work Eastern Time business hours Monday to Friday
