📋 Description

• Perform complex secretarial and administrative duties supporting clinical, educational, and academic programs • Prepare clinics, manage providers’ calendars, and optimize provider-patient schedules • Coordinate patient care and provide information/data support • Manage provider documentation, correspondence, referrals, prior authorizations, and denied-claim appeals • Arrange travel, conference registration, hotel accommodations, lectures, and speaking engagements • Research hospital medical records for physicians, insurance companies, and attorneys • Determine daily surgery and ambulatory procedure order based on medical conditions and severity • Negotiate and authorize surgical and Operating Room schedules, overbooking, rearrangements, and rescheduling • Order surgical/procedure equipment, devices, and medication and confirm fulfillment • Ensure pre-operative and post-operative education and follow-up details • Assemble electronic medical record details for disability paperwork • Assess patient calls, prioritize medical concerns, obtain provider responses, and follow up with patients • Serve as the main point of contact for patients before and after surgery • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma and 2 years of relevant experience required • Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted • Medical Terminology preferred • Experience with surgical/appointment scheduling software (such as Flowcast) preferred • Experience with electronic medical records preferred • Demonstrated customer relations skills required
