📋 Description

• Review and approve suppliers’ systems for chemical and metallurgical process control • Conduct product and process reviews and surveillance at suppliers • Review and approve suppliers’ metallurgical and chemical processes • Participate in chemical/metallurgical issues and investigations at suppliers that could impact Pratt & Whitney • Conduct training on Pratt & Whitney quality material control system requirements at suppliers • Participate in approval of engineering-controlled processes for critical applications • Partner with Pratt & Whitney business units to improve overall supplier quality • Assist suppliers with non-conformance documentation and support root-cause corrective-action investigations • Interface with all levels of supplier employees • Participate in continuous-improvement activities • Participate in team audits and manufacturing-process reviews • Travel frequently throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine

🎯 Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience • Degree in Material Science/Engineering preferred • Knowledge of testing and control of raw materials, finished product, and processing for compliance with company standards and applicable government regulations preferred • Knowledge of chemical/metallurgical processes, including laser machining, electro-discharge machining, electro-chemical grinding, brazing, coatings, welding, and heat treatment preferred • Knowledge of product integrity, quality control, supplier quality-system surveillance, and supplier process/product audits preferred • Must live in the Northeast region (CT, MA, NH, VT, or ME) due to frequent travel • Minimum 30% travel required
