• Lead Components Engineering and Applications Engineering tasks supporting airborne, ground, and tactical platforms/programs across proposal, LRIP, production, and support phases • Aid in developing and executing program Parts Management Plans and parts procurement strategies • Verify and validate program parts lists for selection, standardization, documentation, and qualification compliance • Determine component environmental, characteristic, and circuit application requirements from program requirements and SOWs • Provide technology insertion and parts selection/standardization guidance • Generate and revise component drawings and associated verification data packages • Review electronic component and assembly reliability and construction data for PMCB review and adjudication • Perform alternate part investigations and create comparison matrices • Interface with designers, suppliers, SCM, POL, PDE, ECAD, PMO, internal stakeholders, and external manufacturers • Develop component risk and verification delineation • Coordinate and generate program BOMs in collaboration toolsets • Present component standardization, design library, obsolescence management, and termination finish risk results in program design reviews • Support component approval through Parts and Materials Control Boards • Aid root cause/corrective action determinations for device/subassembly component-related failures • Travel occasionally to integration sites, customer facilities, and subcontractor facilities
• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) • Minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience • Experience with all major electrical component commodities, including integrated circuits, semiconductors, passive, and RF devices • Knowledge of component selection, screening, qualification, and derating for military and aerospace flight applications • Knowledge of Military component drawings, standards, test specifications, and associated Qualified Manufacturers and Product Lists • Experience developing component drawings and determining part applications to meet program/project objectives and requirements • U.S. citizenship required • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance • Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1 • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related science/engineering discipline preferred • Minimum 5 years’ experience with project or task management preferred • Experience with root cause corrective action (RCCA) preferred • Knowledge of component reliability process monitors and/or qualification methodologies preferred • Knowledge of circuit card and PWB manufacturing processes preferred • Knowledge of component failure modes by commodity preferred • Experience with BOM development and management for developmental and production programs preferred • Experience using or adapting Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products in a military system preferred • Experience with interconnect devices preferred • Experience with counterfeit part mitigation, including working with Non-Franchised Distributors (NFDs), preferred
